- Webinar on New ISAPP Expert Recommendation: Scientific Criteria for Classifying PrebioticsDecember 11, 2024 – 10:00 am Eastern Time
Virtual EventThe study of prebiotics, a concept introduced nearly 30 years ago, continues to evolve with advances in high-resolution gene sequencing technologies and research on how dietary substances impact health through the microbiome. Both scientists and consumers may face confusion about which substances can genuinely be classified as prebiotics, but a recently published expert recommendation from ISAPP aims to clarify the criteria for prebiotic substances.
Join ISAPP for a webinar that addresses the challenges in defining and classifying prebiotics, describing a unified approach for the scientific field moving forward. A panel of expert speakers will cover the following topics: The definition of prebiotics and its implications What it means for a substance to be selectively utilized by the microbiota Evidence for causality in prebiotic effects A practical example of evaluating a prebiotic candidate Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers during the Q&A session. Sign up now for this chance to hear the latest thinking in approaches to prebiotic research, with practical implications for scientific studies, product development, and more. Register here.
