Marla Cunningham
Executive Director
Marla Cunningham assumed the role of ISAPP’s Executive Director in April, 2023.
Mary Ellen Sanders
Executive Science Officer
Mary Ellen has worked in the probiotic field as a consultant for 30 years and with ISAPP since its inception. Her post-graduate degrees are from North Carolina State University in food science with an emphasis in microbiology. She thoroughly enjoys working with the ISAPP community, driving forward ISAPP’s activities and scientific initiatives. She lives near Denver, Colorado (USA) with her husband of 35 years, in close proximity to her two kids and two grandkids.
Laura Tiernay
Executive Coordinator
Laura graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design and began her administrative career in the interior design and construction industries. Having gained a broad range of experience in digital marketing, technology and various non-profit organizations, she is enthusiastic about contributing creatively to ISAPP’s mission. As the Executive Coordinator, Laura supports communication and marketing efforts, logistics and travel coordination, and the administrative framework of the organization. Her personal time is devoted to fitness, hiking, yoga, cooking, and her friends and family.
MaryAnne Bobrow
Business Manager
MaryAnne handles all financial functions for ISAPP.
Kristina Campbell
Consulting Communications Director
Kristina Campbell (M.Sc.) is a science and medical writer and communications consultant who specializes in creating scientific resources on emerging translational aspects of the gut microbiome, probiotics, and prebiotics. She is pleased to lead ISAPP’s communications efforts with the support of the ISAPP science translation committee. She holds degrees from University of Toronto and University of British Columbia, and now lives in Victoria (Canada) where she enjoys exploring the rocky beaches with her two young kids.
