Prof. Bruno Pot is currently Research Director at Institut Pasteur de Lille and Guest Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He is also Director Business Development at the bioinformatics company Applied Maths. Prof. Pot obtained his PhD in microbiology at the University of Gent, Belgium. In 1997 he joined the company Yakult as science manager Benelux, and later worked with Yakult as Science Director Europe. His scientific interests are bioinformatics, lactic acid bacteria, probiotics, bacteria-host interactions and health claim substantiation. He has authored or co-authored more than 250 articles or book chapters.
