If you search online for probiotics, a lot of the information you’ll find is scientifically inaccurate. The following are common myths about probiotics: the more you take, the greater the health benefit; multiple strains are better than a single strain; probiotics are interchangeable with each other; added sugar diminishes probiotic effects; probiotics always interact with the gut microbiome; and probiotics are found in many fermented foods.
