Consumers are gaining awareness of the value of probiotics, prebiotics, and fermented foods as part of a healthy diet and as a means to control some health conditions, especially those regarding gut health. ISAPP has compiled podcasts, blogs and other media that attempt to translate this complicated science into useful information.
In addition, ISAPP has developed infographics with consumers in mind that are true to the science of microbiomes and packed with useful guidance.
Online Course Offered Through Coursera.org. University of California, San Diego, professor Rob Knight and colleagues provide an online course, “Gut Check: Exploring Your Microbiome.” Course materials can be accessed for free.
